30lbs by 30yrs: Day 66

30lbs by 30yrs Challenge

…..and 22 days later I reappear. Wish I had a good excuse but…alas….I am without one.

Life has been crazy and the last month has been challenging for my diet as well. I’ve had good days, and I’ve had bad days (although, not as bad as they could have been). There has been one common denominator on bad days- STRESS. Ranging all over the board from work, to volunteering, colds,to selling our house….you name it and I’ve probably stressed it. However, God is good and He keeps it manageable.

I’m glad to say that today I reached a half way point of 15.6 lbs lost. I’m definitely feeling the difference already. I’m hoping that I can keep that momentum going and exceed the original goal I set out with at the beginning of this year. There’s still is 15 lbs to go though….and I have a feeling they will not be easy to get rid of.

30lbs by 30yrs Challenge

Waking up this morning a little groggy.  Bible study, meetings, and a 10pm volleyball game last night made for a long day. Good news is that we won all 3 games, bad news is I some how managed to strain a muscle in my right shoulder blade ( before volleyball !?! ). So my plan is to try and do the total resculpt video. Depending on how that goes, I may bike after or in place of the video.

Happy Valentines Day to all! I hope that all who are watching their calories/diets aren’t too tempted by the sweets that usually accompany Valentine’s. I know that chocolate is a big weak spot for myself.

Yesterday I ended up cycling for 20 mins and dropped the extra workout. It was nice to have gotten in the cycling and I still was under calories. Decided to go ahead and decrease my daily calorie goal from 1870 to 1570. That should give me about 1.5 per week of weight loss. I typically achieved that number before, so I figured…might as well make it a goal. I like results, and this should help me get them.

Today I celebrate valentine’s day with the hubby. I’m making steaks, potatoes and white choc raspberry cheesecake. So yummy, but to do all of this and feel…well… like I’m not eating away all my calories…. I’m going to need to put in a good work out. Time to fire up the Netflix and Crunch:Total Resculpt. Been a few days and I’m needing to get some muscle work in. Hoping to have enough ambition to bike as well.

Today I went for a full hour on the bike. Wasn’t as bad as it could have been. I was able to watch Grey’s Anatomy while doing it so it keeps me occupied. About to go take measurements for the week. Wish me luck. 🙂

Some of you may notice that my workout changed from the planned activity yesterday. My husband and I went out and purchased a  Schwinn 220 recumbent exercise bike.  This machine has been amazing so far. I’m hoping to integrate it into my workout daily with the added Total Resculpt or Pilates videos. I’m finding that the more I do this (working out), the more excited I am to keep going. I feel very energized right now and I love that feeling! Now all I need to do is get that added sleep. It seems like we can’t get to bed before 11:30PM any night (unless we’re sick). It’s definitely difficult to find that balance, as my husband and I truly enjoy our time together and it seems to always be limited.

I had a great game last night. Felt awesome to be back on the courts again. Looking forward to the weeks ahead. I hope I’ll be able to keep this up throughout the year. My knees held up well. I only had a brief incident with a spike to the face, which can happen…and I survived. 🙂

Husband is home sick today, so we’ll see how much I can get done.
