30lbs by 30yrs: Day 37

I had a great game last night. Felt awesome to be back on the courts again. Looking forward to the weeks ahead. I hope I’ll be able to keep this up throughout the year. My knees held up well. I only had a brief incident with a spike to the face, which can happen…and I survived. 🙂

Husband is home sick today, so we’ll see how much I can get done.

30lbs by 30yrs: Day 35

After a no workout day, I picked up the action with some upper body work. Feels good to be back into a “normal week”. Hoping to make up for the less than desirable effort I put in this weekend. Seems like my Feb is going to be packed with events and happenings…so I’ll really need to be strict with myself on sticking to my workouts and dietary challenges.

So for those of you at Superbowl Parties last night…what was your biggest temptation? Mine: Desert. yum.

Yesterday’s Workout: no workout 😦

Still sticking in there. Not much to report today. I spent a long day with the kids while my husband was at a conference. It’s a great thing to have a husband that comes home and encourages me to keep going. 🙂 I need it some days.

I’m not sure when I’ll get a chance to post tomorrow. It may be a late one. After all it’s Superbowl Sunday…..and did I mention:

GO PACK GO!

30lbs by 30yrs: Day 32

As promised, here are is a month comparison of starting measurements and end results. Amazing what a little exercise can do!

And the totals are:

Start | Finish

Waist:    52.25| 46.5

Hips:            54 | 51.5

Arms:          17 | 14.75

Chest:       38.8|36.75

As you can see, so far so good. I can’t complain with the results and I feel great. Definitely is a nice way to get motivated. Can’t wait to see what next month brings (hopefully some warmer weather for some outdoor activity).

30lbs by 30yrs: Day 31

So day 31 and it’s back to the grind. Had a rough last 2 days. Foods with way too many calories and not enough exercise to fully balance. I still came in under calories, but…not by much. Need to get my official measurements for the week/month. I will give the full report tomorrow. I can’t believe that a month has gone by already.

I signed up for a volleyball league yesterday. I’m a little nervous, it’s been so long since I played, but I am extremely excited to play a sport again. This shall be a true test on my knees. My sister also will be playing, so I get the added bonus of some family time. 🙂 First Game is next Tues. More reports to follow.

Not a good day for working out. Still need to fit in the weights…yikes. Also, allowed myself a treat that nearly tipped the calorie count! ahhhh. Well all that to say…tomorrow I need to get back to the grind. Any votes for which workout I should do??

30lbs by 30yrs: Day 29

Ok, so today we had a snow day. Which is fine, except the kids are home. Which in my world means little time to myself. I figure, today is as good as any to take a rest. (Although I didn’t really “rest”.) 2 hours of shoveling/snow blowing was nice, but even more fun was the arm work I got from Wii Sports. Yes, it was a workout. To top that off I’m still under calorie count! Yay! All in all it was a good day. School is closed for tomorrow as well, so I need to make the time for that workout.
